Things To Remember When You Build Your Own Computer
It is hard to build your own computer and risky to get made to order pcs from small manufacturers. I went to a build your own computer shop at a computer expo one year, and was amazed at their rates and what they offered. Not only did they offer prices massively cheaper than what was available commercially, but they also offered warranties. I ordered one right away. The only way that I was going to get a cheaper deal was to actually do the whole build your own computer thing, and I just was not feeling qualified to do something like that. Boy did I make a mistake.
If you want, you can design your own pc with any and every feature that you can imagine, but if it arrives at your door and doesn’t even work, then there is no point to it. The scummy thing about the whole operation is, despite the fact that my pc would never actually even turn on and work, they gave me a hard time trying to return it. They actually would not return my calls for several weeks until I threatened to cancel payment on the charges. Then you can bet they answered and offered me to exchange. But I kept on them until they allowed me a full refund. I decided that the only way to get what you want is to build your own computer.
If you want to build your own computer, I am quite sure you can learn some lessons from my experience. One of the most important things to remember when building your own computer is to never cut corners. I bought the cheapest ram that I could find from a computer parts salvage place, having heard that you have to do stuff like that when you build your own computer, or you won’t save enough money to make it worth it. I did the same with a motherboard, and bought a used processor. Let me tell you, with the money that I spent replacing all of the parts that I got, it was not even worth it at all. If you build your own computer, do not make the same mistake I did. Just because you have decided to build your own computer does not mean that you should cut corners. Do everything right the first time, and that way, you will never have to go back and redo it all again.
